Our partner Bruno Corrêa Burini was featured in an article published in Economy & Law (October 2025 edition), which analyzed the long-standing dispute between “wet” and “dry” terminals in container storage within Brazilian foreign trade.

In the publication, the expert explains how the entry of dry ports increased competition in the sector and prompted a response from bonded terminals, which introduced new fees and services for imported containers. The article also addresses the role of ANTAQ, CADE, and the Federal Supreme Court (STF) in decisions aimed at balancing competitiveness, legal certainty, and regulatory predictability.

According to Burini, the solution lies in the effective enforcement of decisions and respect for free competition – key factors to reduce Brazil’s cost burden and promote greater logistical efficiency in the country.
